Box Braids

Pros
Something attractive about this hairstyle is its versatility: You can choose from different sizes, lengths, and colors if you use extensions and accessories of all kinds such as beads or pearls. Besides, box braids are perhaps the most long-lasting African hair braiding style after dreadlocks. They can last for up to three weeks with extensions, or even longer without them, so it’s a great hairstyle if you don’t want to go back to the studio as often. Box braids are low-maintenance because you can easily wash them and style the edges of your braids with gel. Cons

When I apply this style, the main difference is that I cross-section under instead of over, to make them pop off the client’s head.
Pros
It’s a great style if you want low maintenance: Because they are attached to your scalp, they stay in place so you don’t need to style them. They also take less time to install and take down, which is a good thing if you don’t want to lose a whole afternoon of your vacation in the hair studio. Because they’re faster to apply, this style costs less money, so it’s also a good choice if you’re on a tight budget.
Cons
One possible disadvantage of cornrows is that they last less time than hair twists or box braids. You’ll need to retouch them more often.
Hair twists
Also known as two-strand twists, this is the most modern style of the three, and it differs from box braids and cornrows because it uses only two, not three strands of hair, that the stylist wraps around each other from the root to the ends.
